How it works
Start from a property or start from an owner. Each way ends at the owner of record and the deeds behind it.
You send a property or an owner
- An address, a parcel number with its county, or a property ID
- An owner name or a mailing address, to find the properties
We return the owner of record
- The owner's name and mailing address
- Whether the owner is an individual or a company, and the type of ownership
- The date the owner took ownership
You read the history
- Each recorded deed with its buyer, seller, price, date and deed type
- With the owner profile add-on, the number of properties the owner holds

Ownership research FAQ
How do I look up a property owner by parcel number or property ID?
Send a parcel number with its county, or a property ID, and BatchData returns the owner of record. Property Owner Data lists each owner field, including the name, the mailing address and the owner type. Add the Property Owner Profile to see the holdings of the owner.
How do I find the other properties an owner holds?
Search BatchData by owner name or by owner mailing address to list properties that share them. Property Owner Data lists the portfolio fields, such as the number of properties an owner holds and their total equity. Those fields come with the Property Owner Profile add-on.
How do I see who owned a property before?
Send the property, and BatchData returns its recorded deeds and sales, with the buyer and the seller of each one. Deed & Sales History lists the fields of each deed record, such as the sale price, the sale date and the deed type. Deed history comes as an add-on to a Property Data plan.
Can I get a copy of the deed from BatchData?
No, BatchData returns the fields of a deed record, not an image of the deed. Deed & Sales History lists those fields, such as the document number and the recording book and page. The fields also name the buyer, the seller and the sale price.
How do I find out who owns a property in a specific county?
Send a parcel number with its county, or an address, and BatchData returns the owner of record. Assessor Data lists the counties that BatchData covers, and the owner fields come from the county tax assessor record. Owner files also come in bulk.
